Trust & safety

Muster is a workflow tool, not a black box. This page explains what we check, what we do not, and how to report something wrong.

Employer verification

A “Verified employer” label only appears once an employer has passed our verification checks. We never infer verification from a matching email domain alone.

Candidate data control

Your name, phone number, email and CV file stay private until an employer unlocks the shortlist you’re part of. You can edit your profile, replace your CV, control Smart Apply and manage marketing consent. From your privacy page you can also request a full export of your data or ask us to delete your account; each request is reviewed by a person before anything is exported or removed.

No paid ranking

Paying, whether for an employer retainer or a candidate assessment credential, never changes how candidates are ranked or which opportunities they can access.

No AI-only hiring decisions

Software filters, scores and explains fit. It does not reject a candidate outright or make a hire decision. A person reviews free-text assessment answers and makes every interview, offer and hire call.

Secure CV access

CV files are stored privately. We accept PDF and DOCX uploads only after checking their extension and file signature, and candidate downloads use short-lived signed links rather than public URLs. Malware scanning is not enabled in this MVP. No system is unhackable, and we won’t claim otherwise.

Transparent status

Applications, shortlists and payments show their current recorded state. Candidate notifications now surface stage, assessment, interview, offer and credential updates. We don’t manufacture the appearance of progress when no action has been recorded.

Report a job, scam or candidate

If something looks wrong, whether it’s a suspicious job posting, a request for money, or misuse of the platform, use the report category in the contact form. Do not include passwords, payment card details or CV files in a report.
